Ivan Rushmer

Founder, Trackerserver

Ivan Rushmer is the founder of Trackerserver, a white-label telematics platform, and of GPS Track, a South African provider of vehicle, fleet and asset tracking.

Rushmer has worked in the telematics industry since 2014. That work has been divided between the two things a tracking business depends upon: the hardware in the vehicle and the software that reports on it.

The software is Rushmer's own work as a full-stack developer, and covers everything between a tracker's first message and the screen on which a client reads it. The hardware is the work of others, but of others Rushmer knows well: a number of the leading telematics manufacturers, with whom Rushmer has developed new devices, drawing on extensive experience of China, where so much of this equipment is made.

Trackerserver gives a tracking company a dedicated server under its own brand and domain, and supports more than 4 800 device models. The platform was built to serve almost any tracking use case, in any country: fleets and deliveries, security and response, trailers and plant, cold chain, consumer tracking and positioning indoors.

The aim is that a tracking business of any size should be able to offer what the largest providers offer, under its own name.
